Should schools "profile" all students to identify those who may become violent?
Yes: No:

Quick reference medical handouts used by Pediatric offices

My child was diagnosed with pneumonia by his pediatrician. Is pneumonia contagious and when can he go back to school?

There are two different types of pneumonia in children, viral and bacterial. If your child has viral pneumonia, the virus can be transmitted to other children and adults. The virus is spread by airborne droplets (coughing, sneezing, etc.) and by hand to mouth transmission. However, if the virus is transmitted to another person, it might settle somewhere else. This might cause only a cold or an upset stomach instead of pneumonia. Children with viral pneumonia may return to school once signs of the infection have disappeared. This includes absence of fever, return of appetite, and absence of fatigue. Many children cough and are weak for up to a month after a bout of pneumonia. Therefore, it is best to limit extracurricular activities. Make sure your youngster gets plenty of rest. Bacterial pneumonia is usually not contagious and a child may return to school once signs of the infection have disappeared.
