Quick reference medical handouts used by Pediatric offices

I am a RN and would appreciated knowing if there is a specific formula for calculating the amount of formula a child would need on a daily basic. I have read several different articles and I am still tryig to find out how if you could help me I would be greatly appreciative. If you could suggest where I could locate a tabe/chart that would cover this topic it would be most helpful. I work as a Advice nurse and I have been concerned when parents call and tell me how much the infant/child is taking and I never know if it is the correct amount, if they are being underfed or over fed.

There are really no rules concerning the amount of formula a baby should take. Guidelines have been developed to give parents some idea, but these are only guidelines. The amount the baby should drink is more determined by appetitie and weight gain.
