Should schools "profile" all students to identify those who may become violent?
Yes: No:

Quick reference medical handouts used by Pediatric offices

My 11-year old son has a SED rate of 65, which is high. He is really not sick, but has knee pain. He had the following blood tests done: ANA, B-12, RA factor and they all came back normal. What willl cause the sedimentation rate to be so high? What is wrong with my son?

Thanks for your question. Although we can appreciate your concern, your son's case can't be diagnosed from the information you have provided. A sedimentation, or "sed rate" is a general measure of inflammation in the body and can be increased by many different things. It would be important to know whether the sed rate is going up or down in order to know how much attention to pay to it. It sounds as though your doctors are working through this problem, and we would suggest continuing to work with them.
