Quick reference medical handouts used by Pediatric offices

My six months old son is getting his tongue out always. Is there any health problem in that? Kindly advise the solution.

This is not a problem as long as your pediatrician feels that your child's tongue is normal in overall size and can fit back in his mouth when he wants it to.

This may be just a manifestation of teething, or simply a habit he discovered and enjoys. There is nothing that you need to do about it at this age.

Thanks for your question
